To re-engineer the way the State Chamber of Commerce (NSW) interacts with the business community - a relationship built over 175 years.
To replace two non-Y2K compliant systems for membership and event management as well as develop an integrated e-marketplace for members (predominantly
small-medium businesses) creating new revenue streams and reducing overheads - without compromising service to members.
The development of the site enabled the Chamber to meet members' needs and deliver quality information, products and services.
A friendly and easy-to-use site was built - enabling the online sale of members' products and services, and the processing of membership transactions via a
secure e-commerce gateway, complete with real-time transactions.
The site is managed through a sophisticated browser-based back office environment - allowing both the Membership database and Events management
system to be administered by Chamber staff through a browser.
The site was developed in stages over 6 months in 1999-2000.

integrated web solution. This included business data and process analysis and re-engineering, database design, screen design, programming as well as transformation
of existing membership data and loading to the new system.
